1 Thessalonians 1
Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you.
1 Thessalonians 2
You yourselves know, brothers, that our visit to you was not in vain.

So when we could bear it no longer, we were willing to be left on our own in Athens.
1 Thessalonians 4
Finally, brothers, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus to live in a way that is pleasing to God, just as you have received from us. This is how you already live, so you should do so all the more.
